Seakan ingin mengikuti perkembangan jaman Jkt48 idol grup ini melebarkan sayap di dunia gaming tidak main-main Jkt48 siap membentuk Tim eSport yang beranggotakan 6 orang dan siap dilatih dan ikut dalam turnamen-turnamen game.
Valkyrie 48 resmi dibentuk pada hari ini Selasa 18 desember 2018 dan diumimkan di situs reami Jkt48.
Keneam anggota itu adalah Sinka Juliani (Tim J), Anindhita Rahma Cahyadi (Tim KIII), dan Syahfira Angela (Tim T) yang tergabung dalam tim PUBG Mobile.
Dan Desy (Tim KIII), Celine (Tim T), dan Jinan (Tim T) yang tergabung dalam tim AOV.
JKT48 lewat situs resminya mengatakan bahwa tujuan dibentuknya tim Valkyrie48 sebagai sebuah "National Idol" dengan segala keunikannya ingin menjadi simbol eSport di Indonesia dan Asia, Valkyrie48 akan tampil ke publik tahun 2019 dan siap menggentarkan lawan-lawan mereka.
